Peppermint Essential oil is one oil I will not ever be without! It has so so so many different uses. Some oils are specific for one or two things. The peppermint seems like there are Hundreds of uses for it, and there likely is!
I’ll just make mention of what I use them for. Keep in mind, what I use peppermint (or any other oil for that matter) for, may not work for you, or what you find one oil to help you with, may not always be the same for me. Our bodies all are different and need different things. So not always will one oil work the same for everyone.
#1 best use for peppermint, in my opinion:
I used to get a ton of tension headaches from standing on our concrete floor a lot. (Our kitchen, living room/dining room, closet/pantry/laundry room are all on the concrete floor)
I found that a drop or few of peppermint along the base of my neck, and shoulders helped relieve tension.
For other types of headaches, apply a drop or so along forehead, temples, neck or wherever headache seems to be (except eyes!)
Other uses of peppermint:
-drop or desired amount to hot or cold water to sooth sore throat
-drop to tongue to also sooth sore throat (it will burn!)
-drop to tongue to freshen breath
-3-5 drops on stomach and around belly button to help relieve stomach issues (diarrhea, indigestion, nausea, constipation)
-drops on bottoms of feet, forehead, armpits, back to relieve fever
-aid in asthmatic issues
-in cooking or baking
There are so many more uses of the peppermint oil. It is relatively cheap to purchase, goes a long ways, and has Many uses! I like to purchase oils which have many different uses. Cleaning, cooking, health, etc. Peppermint is definitely one of them!
